Hi Global Strays Partner,

I am writing you because today we need your help. Hurricane Eta made landfall last week in Central America, causing 30,000 people to evacuate in Nicaragua, leaving their companion animals behind. Strays that have never felt the safety and warmth of a home are even more vulnerable. Mabia Espinoza of Global Strays and Dr. Lester Tapia and his veterinary team are currently on the ground, undertaking a rescue mission to save the lives of animals impacted by this storm in the northern parts of Nicaragua. The photos below were taken recently in the affected areas in the North.

Animals are distraught, badly wounded, and struggling to survive. We can come to the aid of these animals, but we need your help. Dr. Tapia and his team of veterinarians need donations URGENTLY to purchase more medical supplies in order to save these animals from prolonged suffering.

We have already donated $1500 worth of dog and cat food, but we desperately need your help to raise money for medical supplies to assist injured animals. We will also be helping cows, horses, and ANY other animals in distress. We cannot sit back while these animals suffer, and you can help today with your donation.

With $25 you can purchase medicines for deworming, antibiotics, and pain relief for 5 cattle or 7 dogs or cats

With $50 you can purchase deworming paste, medicine for ticks and wound care for 8 horses

With $100 you can purchase dewormer, medicine for ticks and fleas, and antibiotics for 30 dogs or cats*

With a larger amount, you can further your impact immediately.

*We will also be providing other forms of veterinary care when necessary. These examples are just to show your impact, donations may be used for any form of disaster relief veterinary care.

Donate to the Eta Disaster Relief Fund
Mabia & Elisa of Global Strays urge Global Strays supporters to donate to our Emergency Disaster Relief Fund for animals affected by Hurricane Eta.

We will be updating our followers on social media as information comes in. Global Strays staff are risking their lives to help these animals, so we want to support them as much as possible.

Thank you in advance,

Liz Shafiroff
