We want to share with all of you the story of Don Carlos, the caretaker for Albergue Santandercito-Cundinamarca, an animal shelter located in a remote region at the top of a mountain, a few hours outside of Bogota, Colombia.
Before we met Don Carlos & his wife Angela in 2017, they had no outside assistance. We witnessed their need and have been helping them with a monthly caretaker salary, dog food, flea & tick prevention, and veterinarian care.
Don Carlos believes his life's calling is to help animals in this region of Colombia, and his immense dedication is apparent.
