Yesterday I sent you our impact numbers, but what are numbers without a story? I want to share with you just how we impact those we serve.
Seven years ago today, a woman named Eva became disabled in a motorcycle accident. She was run over by a truck and lost her right leg. After the accident, she adopted a dog named Perrita – she wanted companionship to help her get through such a difficult time. They have since been inseparable.
However, 6 years later, due to Eva’s financial struggles, Perrita still had not been spayed. This was very difficult for Eva because she couldn’t care for all of her litters of puppies nor fend off male dogs when Perrita was in heat. Eva came to a recent Global Strays clinic where Perrita was spayed free of charge. For Eva, having her dog spayed meant so much more than just prevention:

Global Strays Partner, our spay and neuter clinics do more than just address stray overpopulation (though that is important). We specifically go into extremely impoverished communities to provide services for pet owners who want to take care of their pets, but just can’t afford it.
