Throughout 2020, there has been a massive increase in pet abandonment and lack of fosters and adopters in the underserved communities where we work. One of our partners located in Santo Domingo, Yendy Hernandez of Animales in Vilo, tells us, "Donations have been very few. We have rescued many cases of animals in appalling conditions on the streets. The number of rescues continues to rise as the abused animals keep coming."
