Our partner organization and his team of veterinarians have begun helping the dogs at the La Joya garbage dump thanks to the donations we have received thus far! Around 120 dogs live in this garbage dump, living off of infested food and contaminated water while struggling to survive.
So far 50 dogs have been spayed or neutered, 4 are on antibiotic treatment, and 4 are receiving chemotherapy for TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumors). Niña, the mama dog who had several litters of puppies, has received blood work and has been spayed as well. Sadly, two dogs, Tonky & a small puppy did not make it.
