FUNDACIÓN ADAN IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO EDUCATING OUR NICARAGUAN SOCIETY THROUGH DISCUSSIONS IN STUDY CENTERS AND SOCIAL NETWORKS, FOCUSING ON PROTECTING AND PROMOTING THE RIGHTS OF DOMESTIC AND WILD ANIMALS THROUGH OUR LAW 747.
Our main objectives are raising awareness against the abandonment and abuse of animals and promoting adoptions of those animals that we rescue, as well as promoting and disseminating the importance of spay and neutering as the only ethical method to control the overpopulation of stray animals.
Our rescue animals reside at 10 foster homes between the regions of Managua, Tipitapa, Masatepe and Masaya by which there are a total of 220 animals between dogs, cats, and horses, all whom were rescued from the streets or after being abandoned. Once rehabilitated, all our rescues are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and put in adoption.
Thanks to the support of Global Strays, we have managed to maintain the spay and neutering program for our rescued animals as well as for pets from families with limited resources. We also appreciate their support with helping us purchase medication, vaccines, and emergency medical examinations for our animals. The support of Global Strays motivates us to continue giving everything for this noble task given that we are the voice of those who have no voice!
